1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account, submitting a sign-up request, or using any part of the Aurra platform ("Service"), the school or individual ("you", "your school") agrees to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms").
The person registering on behalf of a school warrants that they have the authority to bind that school to these Terms. If you are registering as an individual for personal use, these Terms apply to you directly.
These Terms are complemented by our Privacy Policy and Refund & Cancellation Policy, which are incorporated by reference.
2. Description of Service
Aurra is a cloud-based school operating system that provides private schools in Pakistan with tools for:
- Student admissions, profiles, and records management
- Fee collection, invoicing, and financial reporting
- Attendance tracking (manual and face recognition-based)
- Examination management, results, and report cards
- Parent communication via WhatsApp
- Staff management, payroll, and leave tracking
- School analytics and owner-level reporting
- Document storage and management
Aurra reserves the right to add, modify, or discontinue features at any time. Material changes that reduce core functionality will be communicated to active subscribers at least 14 days in advance.
Aurra is provided "as is" for the purposes described above. We do not guarantee that the Service will meet every specific requirement your school may have.
3. Account Registration & Responsibilities
Registration
To use Aurra, your school must submit a sign-up request and receive approval from the Aurra team. An account is activated only after Aurra confirms it. We reserve the right to decline any registration request without giving a reason.
Accurate Information
You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and keep it updated. Providing false information may result in immediate account termination.
Account Security
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
- You must not share your admin password with unauthorised persons.
- You must notify Aurra immediately at admin@aurraos.com if you suspect unauthorised access.
- Aurra is not liable for any loss resulting from unauthorised use of your account.
One Account Per School
Each school is entitled to one active workspace. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent plan limits is a violation of these Terms and may result in all accounts being terminated.
Admin Responsibility
The school administrator (Admin role) is responsible for all activity that occurs under the school's workspace — including actions by teachers, staff, and any other users granted access by the Admin.
4. Subscription & Payment
Aurra offers a Free plan and paid subscription plans. Plan details and pricing are listed on the Pricing page.
| Topic | Policy |
|---|---|
| Billing cycle | Monthly or annually, as selected at time of upgrade |
| Payment methods | As specified on the Pricing page (bank transfer, EasyPaisa, JazzCash, etc.) |
| Failed payment | 7-day grace period, then account downgraded to Free plan |
| Price changes | 30 days advance notice via email before any price increase takes effect |
| Taxes | Prices shown are exclusive of any applicable Pakistani taxes (e.g., GST/WHT) |

Aurra will never automatically upgrade your plan or charge your account without your explicit instruction. All plan upgrades require a deliberate action from the school administrator.

6. Intellectual Property
Aurra's Property

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service for your school's internal purposes during your active subscription period. This licence ends immediately upon account termination.
Your School's Data
By using Aurra, you grant us a limited licence to store, process, and display your data solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

If you provide suggestions, ideas, or feedback about Aurra, we may use them to improve the Service without any obligation to compensate you.
7. Data & Privacy
Your use of Aurra involves the collection and processing of data as described in our Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy is incorporated into these Terms by reference and forms part of your agreement with Aurra.
Your obligations as a Data Controller
Under Pakistani law and these Terms, your school is the Data Controller for all student, parent, and staff data you enter into Aurra. This means you are responsible for:
- Having a lawful basis to collect and process the data you enter.
- Obtaining necessary consents — especially for biometric/face recognition data.
- Ensuring data accuracy and responding to data subject requests.
- Complying with any applicable education department data handling guidelines.
Aurra acts as the Data Processor on your behalf and will follow your instructions regarding data handling within the capabilities of the platform.
Data Security
Aurra implements industry-standard security measures (encryption, access controls, bcrypt password hashing). However, no system is 100% secure. You agree that Aurra's liability for a data breach is limited as described in Section 9.
8. Service Availability
Aurra targets 99.5% monthly uptime for the core application. However, we do not guarantee uninterrupted service.
| Type | Notice given | Service credit eligible? |
|---|---|---|

| Unplanned outage (< 4 hrs) | Status update posted | No |
| Unplanned outage (4–24 hrs) | Email notification | Yes — 1 day credit |
| Unplanned outage (> 24 hrs) | Email notification | Yes — 3 days credit |
Service credits are the sole remedy for downtime. See the Refund & Cancellation Policy (Section 6) for full details on how to claim credits.
Aurra is not responsible for downtime caused by third-party services (Cloudinary, Twilio, Meta, Neon, Render infrastructure outages), your internet connection, or events outside our reasonable control.
9. Limitation of Liability
No Consequential Damages
To the maximum extent permitted by Pakistani law, Aurra and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of data, loss of revenue, loss of goodwill, or business interruption — even if we were advised of the possibility of such damages.
Liability Cap
Aurra's total cumulative liability to you for any claims arising under these Terms will not exceed the greater of:
- The amount you paid to Aurra in the 3 months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or
- PKR 5,000 — whichever is greater.
"As Is" Service
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Aurra does not warrant that the Service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or fit for any particular purpose beyond its described functionality.
Your Responsibility for Data
You are solely responsible for the accuracy and legality of data you enter into Aurra. Aurra is not liable for decisions made based on data processed through the platform.
10. Termination
Termination by You
You may cancel your account at any time by following the process in our Refund & Cancellation Policy (Section 5). Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period (monthly) or as per the annual plan rules.
Termination by Aurra
Aurra may suspend or terminate your account immediately if:
- You violate any provision of these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy.
- You fail to pay subscription fees within the 7-day grace period.
- We receive a credible report of illegal activity involving your account.
- We are required to do so by law or a court order.
- We reasonably believe continued service poses a security or legal risk.
Where possible, Aurra will give 7 days' notice before termination for non-payment or minor policy violations so you can export your data. No notice will be given for serious violations (fraud, illegal content, security attacks).
Effect of Termination
- Your access to the platform will be removed immediately upon termination.
- Data is retained for 30 days after termination (export window), then permanently deleted.
- Termination for cause (violation of Terms) does not entitle you to any refund.
- Sections 6, 7, 9, 11, and 12 of these Terms survive termination.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Aurra and its team members from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from or related to:
- Your violation of these Terms.

- Any enacted Personal Data Protection legislation
Any legal action or proceeding arising from these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the courts of Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
13. Dispute Resolution
We prefer to resolve disputes informally before involving courts or arbitrators. Please follow these steps:
Step 1 — Contact Us First
Email admin@aurraos.com with a clear description of your dispute. We will respond within 5 working days and make a genuine effort to resolve the matter.
Step 2 — Negotiation Period
Both parties agree to a 30-day good-faith negotiation period after the initial complaint before initiating any formal legal proceedings.
Step 3 — Formal Proceedings
If the dispute cannot be resolved through negotiation, either party may pursue their rights through the courts of Lahore, Punjab, as described in Section 12.
14. Changes to These Terms
Aurra may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our service, legal requirements, or business practices.
- For material changes (changes that significantly affect your rights or obligations), we will notify school administrators by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect.
- For minor changes (corrections, clarifications, non-material updates), the updated Terms will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
- Continued use of Aurra after the effective date of any change constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
- If you disagree with a material change, you may cancel your account before the effective date without penalty.
